At the Startup Weekend, I talked to Kai Degner, local city council member and realtor, about my work as a freelance writer. Kai told me he’s setting up a local community site called LiveHB.com and he needs writers.
Kai invited me to breakfast at The Little Grill to talk about the project, and I showed up with three friends. You want writers? we got writers!
Here’s my first post on Kai’s site: Cracked Concrete in Harrisonburg? It’s part of an educational series highlighting local businesses.
I know Phyllis Friesen of Design Concrete Builders, from networking around Harrisonburg.
Feels great to be helping build community.
Nice article!
