I just went to the conference of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) in Atlanta, for three days of nonstop learning and connections with people.
At the end of the conference, I was asking myself, “What’s the most important thing I’ve learned here?”
I immediately got: “This is my field.”
Meaning, I’ve been doing this for several decades now, and I felt the affirmation of my expertise and passion for the field I’ve been working in. Very reassuring!
